Leah Abercrombie, a Newcastle-based maker working with precious metals and stones, approached me to create a brand identity for her studio, LA Finery. She wanted a visual identity that reflected the sophistication and individuality of her handcrafted jewellery.

Creative Response

The visual identity is grounded in the raw elegance of Leah’s jewellery. A hand-drawn logo and brandmark echo the organic shapes in her work, while a minimalist sans-serif typeface adds refinement with personality. The colour palette draws from natural materials and skin tones, creating a sense of warmth, honesty, and understated luxury.

Imagery plays a key role, combining soft light with tactile elements like rock, linen, and metal to reflect the emotional depth and craftsmanship of her pieces. Together, the elements form a cohesive, elevated brand that feels personal and timeless.
